What Is WorshipEngine?

WorshipEngine is an answer to the unique problem of worshipping our God and Savior in these busy times. When you're too busy to worship the Lord, WorshipEngine can do it for you! But first, a little background.

Pascal's Wager

Some years ago, the brilliant mathematician Blaise Pascal reasoned that we should all believe in and worship God. His proposition was simple: your immortal soul is at stake. Let's say you worship God and, when you die, it turns out you were right: there is a God and a heaven. You gain everlasting peace and joy! If you worship God and you were wrong, you're just as dead as an atheist, though. No big deal. Meanwhile, if you don't worship the Lord and you're wrong, I hope you were buried in your swimming trunks because it's the Lake of Fire for you. You will burn eternally and suffer immeasurably in Hell. Meanwhile, if you don't worship and you're right, you're still just dead. You win nothing.

The Problems with Pascal's Wager

Now, some have suggested that Pascal was only joking about this wager, but it makes perfect sense. Still, there are problems. You can't just turn faith and belief on and off like some internal light switch: you either feel the good Lord in your heart of hearts or you don't. Plainly, Pascal thought that worshipping was the key: if you worship and praise God, maybe he will reward you with that warm feeling in your heart and other blessings. Kind of like in the Old Testament, where you offer something up. For Pascal's Wager to work for you, you need to ante up with some good old fashioned worship and praise.

The thing that Pascal didn't count on, though, was that it's not like you don't lose if there is no God. You have an investment. You have spent immeasurable time worshipping and praying and being thankful. If there turns out to be no God, you lose that investment. You could have spent that time enjoying your fleeting, precious moments here on earth and getting to know better all the people the Lord tells you are sinners.

That's where WorshipEngine comes in. If you're like me, you spend a good deal of your time enjoying life when you're not working and being a responsible, caring member of society. You pull your own weight and, let's face it, you have more and more weight to pull every day. Where will you find the time to worship?

WorshipEngine is the answer. Just enter your name into WorshipEngine and it worships and praises and thanks God for you! You can worship all day long! In the meantime, you can enjoy your life. WorshipEngine makes it possible for you to worship God even while you sleep.

The WorshipEngine Wager

Some have expressed doubts about WorshipEngine. It's automated, after all. It's not exactly the same as worshipping God with your full attention and with every molecule of your intelligently designed body. Maybe you should look at it this way: if you're right and WorshipEngine really isn't the same as worshipping God the old fashioned way, you've opened a browser window and done your best to praise the Lord. You've lost nothing. But if you're wrong and WorshipEngine really does count as worship, won't God wonder why you couldn't open that browser window to shower Him with praise? It's so simple.
